Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
Welcome, Bienvenido, Benvenutto, Huānyíng, Chào Mừng!
If you are ready to enhance a practice of self-care consistently, you are welcome to join a community of learners in this “Mindfulness-Based Stress Reducation (MBSR)” course. Tap into your own power to experience a sense of well-being and learn a new approach to handling stress and taking care of “you”.
Who is this course for?
MBSR is available to people who want to learn to cope with stress in new ways, practice self-care and live a healthy life fully self-actualized. The course is available to individuals of all backgrounds and professions, including veterans and college students.
Well-being is the ultimate desire of each person. At the MBSR course, participants who have experienced the negative effects of stress will learn practices and try on new attitudes that will help them face the challenges of daily life with a new sense of control, choice and possibility. More importantly, this course will give them insight into how to tap into their own inner resources to achieve a sense of healing and well-being.
Research consistently shows that long-term stress, when not addressed, can bring about serious health issues. Research also provides consistent physiological evidence that mindfulness reduces stress and combats anxiety. MBSR will help you get a handle on situations sooner rather than later so that you can live a fulfilled life and present your best self to the world.
The MBSR course is educational and practical. Its hands-on methodology will give you the opportunity to learn the theory of mindfulness-based stress management and put the concepts into practice in class. The class work will be supplemented with home practices and a one-day, 6-hour retreat.
As you apply MBSR practices, you will see yourself gaining mastery over stressful situations that interfere with your overall sense of well-being. With this new-found knowledge, you will begin to integrate mindfulness into your everyday life so that it becomes an integral part of who you are.
